About the Artist

I am a native of  Newnan, GA and now reside with my family in Carrollton, GA.  I have always had a creative side that became evident as a child.  As an adult, my keen eye for color and design led to a small home decorating business.  A few years later, I began actively pursuing my interest in painting.  Through classes and the study of different mediums, I have developed a distinct style that brings me great pleasure. Acrylic paint is the medium I have been working with for the past few years.  Typically, bright and cheerful colors make up my palette. The palette knife is my tool of choice.  It provides me with the freedom of painting loose without confinement.  The flow of the paint on the canvas is fun and satisfying.  My love of nature and gardening is constant inspiration for my paintings.  Appreciation and awe of God's creation, I believe, is worthy of sharing with others through my own interpretation.
